Aadhar Card Appointment Online: Aadhaar number is a 12 digit unique identification number and is issued by UIDAI to every Indian citizen on behalf of the Government of India. It records the personal information of an individual in a government database and acts as a single identity document. Aadhar card appointment online

The first step that you need to take to generate your Aadhaar number is to book an appointment at one of the Aadhaar Enrollment Centres. You can also visit one of the enrollment centers directly but may have to wait in long queues and face inconvenience. To prevent this, you can try to book a UIDAI appointment online for Aadhar card enrollment. Here are the steps for the same:

  • Visit wenrol.uidai.gov.in/enrolment_request/view/enrol/home.php.
  • Read the Terms and Conditions for Enrollment Request Portal carefully
  • As a first time applicant, select the box against the statement that says that you have not enrolled for Aadhaar earlier
  • Enter the security code displayed on the screen
  • Select your residency status
  • Select the “Verify and Proceed” button which states your consent to the terms and conditions
  • Then, you will be taken to the enrol.uidai.gov.in/enrolment_request/view/enrol/preEnrol.php?menu_id=a02&smsg=pass page.
  • An enrollment request application form is available on this page
  • Fill all your personal demographic details in the form carefully and make sure it is accurate
  • Click on the “Save & Continue” button to save the duly filled form
  • Review your form with all the filled details
  • Double-check for any errors as this is the last step to make changes
  • After reviewing the form, select the “Submit” button
  • Now you will be asked to choose an enrollment center
  • The chosen enrollment center is the place where your appointment for Aadhaar is booked.

The process to cancel or reschedule an Aadhar card appointment

UIDAI gives the option to reschedule or cancel an online appointment for online Aadhaar enrollment through its website. You have to keep your token number available which was provided at the time of booking the appointment.

Cancellation of Appointment – To cancel your Aadhar card appointment online, follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Visit the official website appointments.uidai.gov.in.
  • Enter your Token ID which you would have received after setting up your initial Aadhaar appointment.
  • And Enter your mobile number which you used while booking your original appointment.
  • And Click on the ‘Cancel Appointment’ button to cancel your appointment.
  • As soon as you cancel, you will automatically get an SMS saying that the appointment made under the previous token ID has been canceled.

Rescheduling Appointment – To reschedule your Aadhar card appointment online, follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Visit the official website appointments.uidai.gov.in.
  • Enter your Token ID which you received while setting up your initial Aadhaar appointment.
  • And Enter your mobile number used while booking your original appointment.
  • So click on the ‘Reschedule Appointment’ button to reschedule your appointment.
  • Enter your preferred enrollment center and location details including date and time of appointment.
  • Enter the verification code.
  • And Click on the ‘Fix Appointment’ button to confirm.
  • So You will also receive an SMS with all the details of your rescheduled appointment.

Procedure to get Aadhaar Enrollment Online

After successfully booking an appointment online, the next step is to visit the enrollment center to submit all your biometric and demographic information. For this you have to follow the steps given below:

ऑनलाइन अपॉइंटमेंट सफलतापूर्वक बुक करने के बाद, अगला कदम अपनी सभी बायोमेट्रिक और जनसांख्यिकीय जानकारी जमा करने के लिए नामांकन केंद्र पर जाना है। इसके लिए आपको नीचे दिए गए स्टेप्स को फॉलो करना होगा:

  • After confirmation of appointment visit the Aadhaar Enrollment Center
  • Mention all the details and recheck the duly filled form for correction
  • Submit biometric data which includes fingerprints of all 10 fingers and iris scan of both eyes and a photograph
  • After checking all the documents and biometric data, you will get an acknowledgment slip of your enrollment containing a 14 digit enrollment number and a 14 digit date-time stamp on it, which will help you to track the status of your application.

Documents Required for Aadhaar Enrollment

Here is the list of accepted documents that you must have with you for Aadhaar enrollment:

Proof of Identity: PAN Card, Passport, Ration Card, Government ID, Driving License, Arms License, Voter ID, School or College ID, Debit/Credit Card with Photo

Address Proof: PAN Card, Passport, Ration Card, Government ID, Arms License, Voter ID, Bank Statement or Passbook

Proof of Relation: Passport, Ration Card, MGNREGA Job Card, CGHS or ECHS Photo Card, Pensioner Photo Card, Marriage Certificate with Address

Proof of Date of Birth: PAN Card, Passport, Government ID, SSC Marksheet, Birth Certificate

Criteria for Aadhaar Enrollment

There are three criteria to be fulfilled for Aadhar card enrollment.

Document-based: The application form must be accompanied by a Proof of Identity (POI) document and a valid Proof of Address (POA) document if you have the required documents.

Head of Family: In the absence of personal identification documents, the Head of the Family (HOF) can introduce family members through documents that establish a Proof of Relationship (POR).

Introducer’s reference: In the absence of a valid Proof of Identity (POI) and Proof of Address (PoA) document, the Introducer’s reference may be used. The Introducer is a person appointed by the Registrar and should have an Aadhar Card.
