Documents Required for Aadhar Card: Aadhaar is a 12 digit unique identification number issued by the UIDAI on behalf of the government to every resident of India. It is a biometric document that records your personal information in a government database. Aadhaar acts as a single identity document and does not replace PAN, passport, driving license or any other identity document. It is issued to residents of India on the basis of their biometric and demographic data.
Every resident can apply for an Aadhaar number under the Aadhaar Act, 2016. Documents supporting proof of identity help to confirm that you are who you claim to be. All documents used as proof of identity will have at least your name and photo.
